This is a proactive step. There is no lockdown in Bangalore. Even if there were, like the first strict lockdown, we’d have fallen under the essential category. We managed to not have a single positive case last time. We’re very proud of it.
However, things are very different this time. In spite of stricter protocols -- We don’t have the same confidence this time around. We believe in the safety of our team over everything else.
We believe it is the right decision. We’re also figuring out ways to get the entire team and their families vaccinated ourselves.
We know that most others are still operating and we respect their decision. These are difficult times. We’re grateful that we can tide through this. This is the time to look after our families and others in need.
We are grateful to our investors: Elevation Capital and Fireside Ventures] for their support. To encourage this decision while knowing that this is the best time for a nutrition-led food company. We’ve been breaking sales records every day for the last few weeks.
Our kitchen and retail team across the country are all on fully-paid leave. Some of them are running food programmes and contributing in other ways in their neighbourhood. We couldn’t be prouder of them.
We currently do have supply on all e-commerce and local stores. It might take a while when we start restocking. We’ll update you when we do.
Deliveries in many parts of the country are blocked and are taking longer than usual. Our support channels are really swamped. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can. As always, we’re offering full refunds for cancelled orders. We’re really sorry here.
